The Cohen Velasquez Agency is an office of independent agents representing the products of American Income Life. Our headquarters have been in the Miracle Mile District of Los Angeles for more than 25 years. That shows we are here to stay, and that we know something about building lasting, successful careers.

Meet the agency owners

A partnership built on two generations.

The CV Organization is a partnership between SGA Sean Velasquez and Micah Cohen, a second-generation SGA in the Cohen family.

David Cohen signs on

Unable to pay his college tuition, he gave insurance sales a shot. What was supposed to be a six-to-nine-month gig turned out to be a lifetime career.

    Benefit Representative

    An entry-level position that requires no experience. Benefit representatives work with union families to develop and enroll members in a supplemental benefit program that best fits their needs.

  2. 02

    Supervising Agent

    The first level of promotion. Supervising agents serve as trainers and leadership models for benefit representatives.

  3. 03

    General Agent

    The third tier of leadership, responsible for developing future leaders and heavily involved in talent acquisition, hiring, and training.

  4. 04

    Master General Agent

    Oversees large teams of leaders, runs workshops, and creates the big-picture vision for their teams.

American Income Life offers much more than sales. Contract promotions come from within, so there are always opportunities for advancement.

02Renewal system

When an American Income Life representative makes a qualifying sale, a percentage of premiums paid on the policy each month can be credited to them for as long as they remain contracted or become vested. You can keep getting paid for a sale long after it was made.

Lily SakaiPersonal Producer · Agent of the Year 2021

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Lily moved to Los Angeles at 18 to study fashion design. After barely making ends meet working in retail apparel, she spoke with a recruiter from American Income Life. 19 years later, she is the CV record-breaking Agent of the Year for 2021, a 6-time Top 10 producing agent across all of AIL, a 37-time Founder's Club qualifier, a 15-time President's Club qualifier, and a member of the 3 Million Dollar Club. Her passions include traveling with her husband and daughter, music events, and crafting.

Stela RoznovanSenior Executive · Podcast host

Born in Eastern Europe after the fall of the Soviet Union and raised on two dollars a day, Stela moved to the US at 13 and learned English in 30 days. Today she runs a multimillion-dollar business in the life insurance industry. She is a classically trained pianist who has performed on national and international stages since age 7, host of The Young Entrepreneur Podcast, fluent in three languages, a black belt in Taekwondo, and an avid traveler.

Born in Los Angeles, Alexis was sent at 9 months old to be raised by family in Mexico, and moved back to the States at 14. He worked mostly in the grocery industry until 2014, when he found the Cohen Velasquez agency. With hard work and dedication he became a Regional Director, leading others to their dream life.
